Recruiter – Western Missouri Medical Center

Western Missouri Medical Center is a fully-accredited acute care facility located in Warrensburg, Missouri.  As a not-for-profit, county medical center, WMMC offers comprehensive health care services to residents of Johnson County and west central Missouri.

The Recruiter will spearhead our effort to find talented, driven individuals for specific positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Identify creative and effective candidates sourcing and networking techniques
• Screen candidates, select qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase
• Connect viable candidates with hiring managers
• Create and maintain all job postings
• Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
• Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers
• Collaborate with the hiring manager and / or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
• Assist with advertisement process
• Check candidate’s references and credentials verifying experience and backgrounds
• Manage pre-employment process for all potential new hires
• Schedule new hires for all required orientation classes
• Facilitate twice-monthly new employee orientation
• Attend job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
• Maintain and ensures compliance with applicable equal opportunity employment (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations Take direction from and provide support to HR Staff, HR Supervisor, and HR Director to support corporate initiatives
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
• Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring, recruitment, and on-boarding
• Experience with Paycor preferred
• A minimum of five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field preferred
• Some travel may be required
