Manager, Compliance - AMC

Manage a range of activities related to employment compliance investigations in order to minimize liability to AMC and protect the company brand.

  • Investigate alleged violations of company policies and procedures. Conduct phone and face-to-face interviews with associates involved and obtain all required documented evidence relating to calls. Make appropriate recommendations concerning disciplinary actions and employment related to policy violations. Maintain accurate records in the compliance database. Issues are handled according to Company’s HR best practices as well as to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Ensure that the DO/VPO’s, general managers and TSC supervisors are aware of and comply with Company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state employment laws relating to all employment decisions in order to ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to while minimizing the Company’s potential exposure.  Provide support in maintaining policies consistent with current legal requirements.
  • Ensure timely response to litigation based needs. Provide support to defend company position and complete company and employment litigation investigations. Use knowledge from such work to assist in counseling in future matters and identifying gaps or shortcomings in current training and policies.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4 year degree in Human Resources, criminal justice, or related field preferred or commensurate experience
  • 2-4 years employment law related issues
  • 2-4 years conducting investigations
  • High level of proficiency working with MS 2010 Office Suite  (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn use of the compliance database program

PREFERRED:

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or related certification preferred
  • Investigative or related certification preferred

Senior Payroll Administrator - TVH Parts Americas

We’re seeking a customer focused, detail oriented, friendly payroll specialist with a passion for ensuring accuracy and efficiency.  Located at our Americas Headquarters in Olathe, KS.

As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you’ll be responsible for these essential functions:

  • Processes, audits, and ensures accuracy for weekly payrolls for US multi-state and Canadian multi-province payroll, ensuring accuracy
  • Processes and ensures accuracy for quarterly bonus incentives, commissions, and year-end bonus payments
  • Enters new hire, status changes, and terminations into payroll software
  • Compiles data such as garnishments, insurance, 401(k) deductions, and personnel/payroll changes
  • Ensures accurate deductions for health and welfare plans and reports enrollments and terminations to benefits carriers
  • Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions
  • Reviews and closes year-end payroll processes
  • Ensures excellent customer service by responding to inquiries from employees regarding payroll and/or benefits related questions in a friendly, time-sensitive and accurate manner
  • Creates, modifies, and maintains employment and payroll related reports using payroll software
  • Maintains employee documentation as required by laws and policies

Qualified candidates will possess a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years payroll and timekeeping experience, preferably using ADP.  Other requirements include:

  • Demonstrates a proven track record in processing multi-state and Canadian payroll for 500+ employees with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of US multi-state payroll tax laws
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of relevant employment law (FLSA, FMLA)
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service with a focus on responding to payroll related inquiries in a quick, friendly and efficient manner
  • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates superior organizational, time management and follow up skills
  • Must be team oriented and demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Candidates with experience using ADP Workforce Now payroll system and/or PAYWeb for Canadian payroll processing are preferred.  An Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or another relevant field is also a plus!

HR Technology Specialist - Hallmark

The HR Technology Specialist will be responsible for bridging the gap between business requirements and the HR technical tools.   This role requires a base knowledge of system development life cycle from analysis and design to testing and maintenance.   This role will collaborate with peers to meet multiple objectives of the technology team: data integrity, system maintenance, business enhancements, security compliance, system consulting, and personal knowledge growth. 

The HR Technology department has the important responsibility of maintaining the smooth operation for all HR data needs including our Oracle HR system and several other HR systems related tools.   The department is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of the HR, Benefits and Payroll systems for Hallmark Cards, Inc. and its subsidiaries. This includes supporting the needs for critical company-wide initiatives. This is a centralized HR technology group that touches the work for all HR groups within Hallmark.

The HR Technology Specialist is expected to perform all or a subset of the following activities as needed by a given project:

• Educate and build technology awareness and competence within the HR community. 

• Receive direction from others to successfully lead small projects. 

• Step up to lead sub-tasks on behalf of the team.

• Listen to and incorporate multiple perspectives and weigh the potential risk and impact to employees, work groups and the business.

• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to expresses ideas and points of view in a clear, concise and compelling manner in both individual and group situations.

• High degree of professional maturity, judgment and objectivity.

• Ability to manage sensitive, personal and highly confidential information and situations on a daily basis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of four years of HRIS, HCM or IT experience required.
  • Work experience in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL and Unix.

The Sr. Organization Effectiveness Consultant will plan and facilitate specific Organization and Talent Management interventions and projects to support increased organization effectiveness and health as well as lead program/project management of change initiatives. Responsible to assess the need for, design, and lead organization effectiveness interventions to improve human and organization performance and business outcomes at the corporate, cross-divisional, divisional and department levels.

Hallmark’s Organization Effectiveness & Talent Management group is an HR center of excellence (COE) that focuses on significantly enhancing Hallmark’s capabilities to be healthy and competitive in the marketplace. Our goal is to enable our leaders to best manage their businesses, their organizations and their talent to achieve their strategies and goals.
