JOB DESCRIPTION

JCPRD is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Manager. This exempt position reports directly to the Deputy Director/ASV Superintendent. As a member of the JCPRD Administrative team, the incoming candidate would serve as a member of the highest-level decision-making team within JCPRD. The HR Manager leads the development of a high performing organization through active demonstration of the County’s Pillars of Performance, encouraging leadership and empowerment at all levels of the organization. Supervising (4) four full time staff and (1) one seasonal staff person, the HR manager will provide direction, daily management, and oversight of a fully functioning HR Department. The HR Department provides support to the 300 full-time and 1500 seasonal staff that provide all of the services of JCPRD while maintaining compliance and lawful adherence to all statutes and laws that govern JCPRD.

Days/Hours: M-F 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (some evenings and weekends required)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required. Certification preferred in the following: PHR/SPHR, SHRMcp/SHRMscp, IPMAHR. Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience including supervision of staff required. Public sector experience preferred.

Required Skills: Qualified applicant will have expert knowledge of the human resources field, staff supervision, high moral character, strong communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Also required are exceptional customer service skills, self-motivation, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Salary: $$56,636.80 – $86,444.80 annually (depending on experience)
