The Benefit Communication Administrator operates onsite at an assigned client location to provide administrative services to the client’s Human Resources department and employees, as well as BCInsourcing’s internal staff. Responsibilities include employee support and various client-specific administrative duties.

Essential Functions

Service and Support: Develop a detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of all employer-sponsored benefit plans; respond to employee and carrier inquiries in a timely manner; investigate and resolve benefit-related concerns, including enrollment, deduction, billing, and claims issues; support benefit email inbox and contact center, as assigned. Act as a liaison between the client’s HR department, employees, BCInsourcing, and benefit carriers.

Administrative Management: Complete various administrative duties, as assigned by client and BCInsourcing; based on client needs, duties may include (but are not limited to) administration or support of Qualifying Life Events, Status Changes, Dependent Verification, Billing, Leave of Absences, New Hire Orientation, Appointment Scheduling, Benefit Enrollments and Applications.

Attendance: Regular attendance is required. Hours may fluctuate during open enrollment periods and special projects in order to meet the needs of the client, including extended work hours, evenings, and weekends.

Perform all functions as assigned.

Client-Specific Essential Functions

Wellness Coordination: Develop a detailed understanding and in-depth working knowledge of the employer- sponsored Wellness Program; in coordination with the client’s HR department, develop and support an Employee- Recognition Program; respond to employee and program vendor inquiries in a timely manner; provide education and employee support; manage or support activities and events associated with the Wellness and Recognition Programs;
act as a liaison between the client’s HR department, employees, and program vendors

Learning Development Support: In coordination with the client’s Director of Total Rewards and Analytics and HR department, develop and support Learning and Development initiatives and employee education; respond to employee and vendor inquiries in a timely manner; manage or support activities and events associated with Learning and Development; act as a liaison between the client’s HR department, employees, and vendors

Required Education and Experience

Demonstrate polished articulate verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Proven history operating in an environment requiring superior customer service support

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Proven experience following a step-by-step process while using organization and deductive reasoning to meet deadlines and produce positive outcome

Experience operating under deadline pressure while remaining calm and professional. Detail mindset and formerly trained to function in a multi-task operation with consistent interruptions

Former experience operating independently with little or no supervision while effectively interacting with all levels in a corporation

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Working knowledge of benefit insurance products, including core and/or voluntary benefit insurance products
